‘Red and Black’ explores women's reproductive rights, the exploitation of their identities, and their insecurities in a traditionally patriarchal Chinese society, while delving into the common phenomenon of ‘son preference’ in Asian cultures. I chose stop-motion animation as my medium for this film.
